El Gato Negro, the acclaimed Spanish restaurant recognised for its award-winning small plates, has expanded its menu with the addition of two new Sunday sharing boards.

Designed for two and available all day, every Sunday, the boards feature six of the King Street restaurant’s most popular dishes.  A meat and vegetarian option is available.

THE MEAT SHARER BOARD £28

* Meatballs in tomato fritarda sauce
* Spiced aubergine with onion confit, fritarda sauce and lavosh bread
* Jamón Ibérico croquetas
* Catalan bread with olive oil, garlic and fresh tomato
* Padrón peppers with Halen Môn sea salt
* Patatas bravas with spiced tomato fritarda sauce and aioli

THE VEGETARIAN SHARER BOARD £25

* Navarrico chickpeas, fritarda sauce and caramelised cauliflower florets
* Spiced aubergine with onion confit, fritarda sauce and lavosh bread
* Mixed leaf salad with cherry tomato, cucumber, avocado, spring onion and our house dressing
* Catalan bread with olive oil, garlic and fresh tomato
* Padrón peppers with Halen Môn sea salt
* Patatas bravas with spiced tomato fritarda sauce and aioli

For diners looking to add a little extra to their board, a special roast meat of the day is available for £10.  Options will be promoted through the brand’s social channels for those looking to plan ahead.

Complementing the boards and satisfying the appetites of cocktail lovers as well as diners, El Gato Negro has also introduced three new, limited edition Sunday drinks – Mimosas, Espresso Martinis and Sangria, priced at £12 for two.

And because Sunday is a day for family as well as friends, the King Street restaurant has created a Shirley Temple and Sangria mocktail (£3.50 each) ensuring that little ones can join in raising a glass to the social occasion too.Capture2
