Liverpool’s new Wheeler’s of St James to serve classic New Orleans dish Oysters Rockefeller
Marco Pierre White’s Wheeler’s of St James oyster bar and grill is set to open at the luxury four star Pullman at Monarch’s Quay.
Wheeler’s is one of the oldest fish restaurants in the world and counts Walt Disney and British painter Lucien Freud as diners over the decades.
One of the most exquisite dishes on the menu is Oysters Rockefeller, which is based on the original recipe created in 1899 at the world-renowned Antoine’s Restaurant in New Orleans.
Three oysters are baked in their shell and topped with finely chopped greens and parmesan. The dish is a delicious classic.
The menu features incredible dishes with lobster, quail eggs, langoustines, Morecambe Bay shrimp and Atlantic prawns.
Sumptuous 35 day aged steaks from Royal Warrant appointed butcher Campbell Brothers in Edinburgh are also on the menu at one of the most exciting new restaurants to open in Liverpool.
Wheeler’s of St James at Pullman Liverpool opens on Saturday 18 November.
