St Helens Theatre Royal welcomes some truly incredible shows throughout May, including a star of BBC1’s Strictly Come Dancing, an evening from a renowned psychic medium, world class music tribute acts and the return of The Dublin Legends.

 

Let’s Hang On will take audiences on a musical journey through the career of Frankie Valli & The Four Seasons on Wednesday, 6th May. This award-winning show is back due to popular demand after wowing audiences last year. The Four Seasons are renowned in the world of music for having contributed to countless film sound tracks, such as Grease, Dirty Dancing, The Deer Hunter and Jersey Boys. These gentlemen will be playing timeless classics, so be sure to come along to enjoy some midweek fun.

The unbelievably talented Andrea Pattison will be singing her way onto the St Helens stage on Saturday,7th May with her beautiful tribute to the greatest female country music legendwith her production ofThe Dolly Parton Story.  Not only will you get to experience important parts of Dolly Parton’s life but you’ll get a peek into Andrea Pattison’s childhood as she grew up in an area of Sunderland. This show has been a huge success in Scotland, selling out the Glasgow Pavilion and the Edinburgh Fringe.

 

They are back! That’s right, The Dublin Legends will return to St Helens Theatre Royal on the Sunday, 8th May to play some of their very own hits! These Irish stars have achieved a lot in their careers. Formally known as The Dubliners they won a lifetime achievers award at the BBC Radio 2 folk awards which was quickly followed by a sell-out UK tour which included a spectacular night at The Royal Albert Hall in London!  The Dublin Legends

As the search for the most beautiful woman in the UK heats up, The Miss Royal Beauty takes place at St Helens Theatre Royal on Thursday, 14th May. The girl who wows the judges will go through to compete for Miss England! So come on down and show your support and have a great time at the same time!

Fans of BBC’S Strictly Come Dancing will want to hot foot it down to the Theatre Royal on Sunday 15th May to catch a glimpse of the show’s very own Pasha Kovalev. In this amazing new show starring Pasha and his sensational dancers, the audience will be transported into the world of Ballroom and Latin Dance with all its glitter and sequins. It’s All About You offers a non-stop action and sparkles packed journey through life and love, expressed by the language of dance. Pasha will be joined by special guest Anya Garnis.

On Saturday, 21st May, The Chicago Blues Brothers will fill your night with excitement and fun as they take to the stage with a non-stop, two-hour performance of all the greatest blues, Motown and soul music from both of The Blues Brothers films including Soul Man, Shake a Tail Feather, Everybody Needs Somebody and Respect!  They will be joined by a new explosive 9-piece live band to add to the already amazing stage performance described as “A high octane, adrenaline-pumping musical mash-up” byThe Bristol Post.

Dirty Dusting is back on Wednesday, 25th May after its 2014 sell-out tour! Crissy Rock returns with the hilarious Leah Bell, Dolores Porretta and Lee Brannigan! The writers for this production Ed Waugh andTrevor Wood have managed to write 11 very successful plays and Dirty Dusting is no different. The play is also directed by one of the stars Leah Bell, so don’t wait to purchase your tickets!

 Famous psychic medium Tony Stockwell gives an insight in to the lives of the audience as he attempts to offer fascinating revelations from the other side on Thursday, 26th May. At its best, mediumship has the potential to change people’s lives and to instil in them a sense of peace, comfort and purpose. During his 20 years working as a medium, Tony has constantly worked to improve his game and push the boundaries of his communication and he is bringing all of his knowledge and experience to audiences at the Theatre Royal.
